Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of teil.ing, an image and video sharing service operated by the person named in the imprint (“we”). By using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

teil.ing lets you upload images (and, on paid plans, videos), edit them, and share them via links with optional password protection, expiry dates, and view limits. Uploads are possible anonymously within limited quotas or with a free or paid account. The service is provided as-is; we aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address. Accounts may not be shared or sold.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you upload. You grant us the non-exclusive right to store, process (including creating thumbnails, transcodes, and edited versions you request), and deliver it to the extent necessary to run the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to everything you upload.

4. Prohibited content and moderation

You must not upload content that:

• is illegal under German or EU law, or infringes third-party rights (copyright, trademarks, personality rights);
• depicts the sexual abuse of minors — this is reported and leads to immediate account termination;
• constitutes hate imagery, incitement, or glorification of violence;
• contains graphic violence or gore;
• is malware, phishing material, or spam.

All uploads pass automated content moderation; content matching the categories above is removed automatically and removals are logged. We may also remove content or restrict accounts manually where we reasonably believe these terms are violated. Automated removals can be contested via support.

5. Fair use

Storage quotas, upload size limits, and rate limits apply as displayed in the service. You must not attempt to circumvent them, probe or disrupt the service, or use it as generic file hosting or a content delivery backend for other sites.

6. Pro subscriptions

Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time via the billing page, effective at the end of the current billing period. If a subscription ends, Pro features are disabled after a short grace period, and content exceeding the free quota may become read-only or need to be deleted. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected.

7. Deletion and termination

You can delete individual uploads or your entire account (self-service here) at any time. Anonymous uploads expire automatically. We may suspend or terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly violate these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For simple negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damage. The service is not a backup service — keep copies of content that matters to you.

9. Changes and final provisions

We may amend these terms with effect for the future; material changes will be announced to registered users in advance. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder stays in force.
